Tableau Power Rangers Dashboard
Project type
Tableau Dashboard Power Rangers
As a longtime Power Rangers fan, I wanted to go beyond nostalgia and really dig into what nearly three decades of morphin' time looks like through data. This project uses Tableau to transform a comprehensive dataset of almost 900 episodes and 28 seasons into an interactive experience, allowing for a data-driven exploration of this iconic franchise.
The core of this project involved connecting and structuring detailed episode and season information (including IMDB ratings, vote counts, air dates, and producer details ). From there, I focused on creating a dashboard that allows users to:
Track the Hits: Interactively discover the Top N highest-rated episodes across the entire series using a dynamic parameter, and see how average IMDB ratings have trended from the early Mighty Morphin days to the present.
Compare Eras & Performance: Analyze how different production entities (Saban, Disney, Saban Brands) stack up by comparing average episode IMDB ratings and the sheer volume of episodes they produced.
Explore Rating Dynamics: A scatter plot reveals the relationship between episode IMDB ratings and total votes, segmented by a custom "Rating Category" (Excellent, Good, etc.) derived from calculated fields. A histogram further breaks down the overall distribution of episode ratings.
Interactive Exploration: The dashboard is designed for discovery. Clicking on a season or producer in one chart dynamically filters other views, providing focused insights and a cohesive analytical journey.
This project showcases an end-to-end data visualization workflow, turning raw series data into a clear, engaging, and interactive tool for any Power Rangers enthusiast or data explorer.
